On 10th of October Niraivagam in collaboration with Salesian Migrant Ministry of Chennai Province conducted a Psychological Well-being Workshop for 14 Manipur students who migrated to Chennai due to ethnic violence. These undergraduate students are studying at Stella Maris College, Nungambakkam. Niraivagam has undertaken an initiative to take care of the displaced students affected by ethnic violence, for their mental well-being by helping them to overcome grief and trauma and to grow up with positivity and resilience. This rejuvenating session was conducted by Fr. Ravi SDB, Asst. Director of Niraivagam and assisted by Mrs. Virgin Vinodini, Counsellor. These migrated students in their feedback expressed that they were able to understand their psychological well-being state and the need to avail further psychological help in order to overcome their past traumatic experiences.
