Today, July 4th, Thursday Niraivagam, in collaboration with SCARF, successfully conducted a workshop on “Art-Based Interventions towards Suicide Prevention” at Don Bosco, Vyasarpadi. This innovative programme aimed to provide a creative outlet for students to express their emotions and promote mental well-being.
We are grateful to Fr. Jeyaraj SDB, who initiated this workshop, recognizing the importance of art in fostering a positive and supportive community. His vision has enabled the students to experience the transformative power of art, empowering them to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and hope and we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Ravi SDB, who has been the backbone of all the initiatives undertaken by our Director, Fr. Jeyaraj SDB. His tireless efforts, guidance and support have been instrumental in the success of the programme.
We also extend our appreciation to Fr. Gerald Miranda SDB, the Headmaster of Don Bosco, Vyasarpadi, for warmly welcoming us and providing a conducive environment for the interventions. His support has been instrumental in bringing about a positive change and culture among the students.
The workshop witnessed an enthusiastic participation of 100 students-9th std, who actively engaged with the art-based activities, exploring their creativity and emotions.
