The 10-day Summer Remedial Camp 2023 organized by Niraivagam from 25th April was concluded on a high note on 6th May at St. Bede’s, Santhome. There were 27 deserving children belonging to Stds. III to V from 7 Salesian and Non-Salesian schools in Chennai, who participated with great enthusiasm and energy. The camp was made possible by the hard work meticulous planning and dedication of Fr. Joseph Jeyaraj, the Director, Fr. Ravi, the Asst. Director, Mrs. Anne Florence HoD for Child Development.  

Miss. Manisha, Mr. Ashwin and Mrs. Mary, the Remedial experts of Niraivagam conducted the workshop with dedication and love for the students. They were supported by other Niraivangam staff, Mr. Selvendhiran (Training corordinator), Bro. Yacop Mrs. Viola (Coordinator), and Mr. Raja. Students were very happy to come to the remedial summer camp. The parents were very enthusiastic and collaborative. Apart from the regular workshop for the children, the parents were also empowered with the help of renowned resource persons, Mrs. Anne Florence and Mrs. Satya Dhanakodi, CEO of Yogithya Academy on necessary knowledge and awareness on how to handle children with Learning Difficulties and Concentration Problems. The feedback from the parents during the sessions and on the last day were heartening and encouraging. Niraivagam is very grateful to St. Bede’s Community especially Fr. Stanley Ignatius SDB, the Rector and Correspondent,  Fr. Y. L. Irudayaraj SDB, Headmaster of St. Bede’s  A.I.Hr. Sec. School and Fr. K. J. Arulraj SDB, Principal of St. Bede’s Academy for their whole-hearted support and assistance to use their school premises and make this camp a grand success for the cause of the students.
