On 4 July 2026, the Niraivagam Training Team 🤝conducted a Leadership Training seminar at St. Mary’s Anglo-Indian Higher Secondary School, Broadway, Chennai, for the school leaders.
The programme was designed to equip student leaders with the essential qualities, mindset, and skills required to become responsible, confident, and inspiring leaders within the school community.
The session focused on the core qualities of effective leadership, including integrity, responsibility, self-discipline, communication, empathy, teamwork, decision-making, problem-solving, and emotional intelligence. Students were encouraged to understand that leadership is about influencing others through positive actions, setting an example, and serving the community with commitment and accountability.
The programme incorporated a variety of interactive leadership activities, group discussions, team-building exercises, and experiential learning tasks that enabled students to explore different leadership styles and understand the importance of collaboration and trust. Through these activities, participants experienced the value of planning, communication, adaptability, and collective decision-making while working towards common goals.
Special emphasis was given to the psychological aspects of leadership, helping students understand self-awareness, emotional regulation, resilience, growth mindset, motivation, confidence building, and interpersonal relationships. The participants learned how emotions influence leadership decisions and how developing a positive attitude, active listening, and empathy can strengthen their ability to lead others effectively.
The Seminar concluded successfully, with the student leaders actively participating throughout the session and demonstrating enthusiasm in every activity. The participants appreciated the practical learning experience and expressed confidence in applying the leadership principles, psychological insights, and life skills they had acquired to become responsible, compassionate, and effective leaders in their school and beyond.
